Abisheka – A Sacred Bathing Ritual

A Ritual of Purification, Healing and Clarity

Abisheka is an ancient Vedic ritual in which the sacred murti (deity statue) is bathed with natural offerings such as milk, water, rosewater, sandalwood water, honey, and ghee. This symbolic act represents the cleansing of the inner self and the release of obstacles, bringing peace, clarity, and transformation.

The ceremony is performed with deep reverence by a trained pujari, who chants mantras and offers the ingredients on your behalf—whether you are physically present or participating from afar. Many people request a personal Abisheka for themselves or their loved ones during times of transition, healing, or spiritual focus.

You Can Request This Puja from Anywhere

Whether you're visiting in person or living abroad, the Abisheka can be performed in your name, just as if you were at the temple. All that is needed is your sincere intention.

How It Works

  • Abisheka is performed every morning at 6:30 AM

  • To request a personal Abisheka on a specific day, book your puja below

  • The ritual is done together with a personal Archana puja

  • Suggested donation: 39 euros (21 euros for puja and 18 euros for two offering trays)

Offerings

A special Abisheka tray is prepared on-site, which includes natural milk, coconut, fruit, banana, incense, flower, camphor, vibhuti, and kumkum (cost: 9 euros per tray). For a Shiva and Shakti Abisheka, two trays are used to honor both energies separately. You are also welcome to bring your own offerings and hand them to the pujari.

Why Two Trays?

Shiva and Shakti represent two complementary forces – Shiva is pure stillness and awareness; Shakti is the vibrant energy of life. Offering to both allows you to connect with both aspects of the Divine, and supports inner balance.

Everyone is welcome to participate. No previous experience is needed.
Whether near or far, your prayer can be offered.
