Guru Purnima is traditionally dedicated to honoring the principle of the Guru — not merely as a person, but as the source of guidance that reveals clarity, understanding, and direction on the path of awareness.

In the Siddha tradition, the Guru represents the presence that points beyond confusion and habitual perception toward direct seeing. This day is associated with gratitude, receptivity, and alignment with the inner source of understanding.

Guru Purnima supports recognizing the role of guidance in one’s life — outer and inner — and acknowledging the conditions through which learning and clarity become possible. It is a time for reflection on the transmission of knowledge that is not conceptual, but lived and experiential.

This observance invites quiet attention, openness, and respect for the lineage of understanding that sustains the living tradition. It supports deepening receptivity to clarity and renewing commitment to practice grounded in awareness.

Participation in the Guru Purnima celebration is free of charge.

Participants are welcome to offer Guru Dakshina to the Shiva Temple as an expression of gratitude and support for the living tradition. Contributions may be made during registration or on site on the day of Guru Purnima.
