Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, marks the victorious conclusion of Navaratri. It celebrates the triumph of dharma over adharma, wisdom over ignorance, and the Divine over ego. This sacred day invites inner clarity, renewal, and the strength to live in alignment with truth.

Focus: This day falls between Navamī and Vijayadaśamī and is intended for quiet inner practice. In the Siddha–tantra lineage, it is used for silence, japa (mantra repetition), and deepened meditation. Morning pūjā is performed. No major homas are held, as the focus is on preparing for Vijayadaśamī.

Day 10 – Thu, Oct 2 (Daśamī / Vijayadaśamī) Vijayadaśamī
Color: – (white or gold often used for the day of victory)
Focus: Vijayadaśamī is the culmination of Navaratri. In the Shakta tradition it celebrates Devi’s triumph; in the Siddha–tantra lineage, the emphasis is on the unity of Devi and Śiva and the return of Shakti to her source. The highlight of the day is Devi visarjan (reverent sending back of the deity through the kalasha).

Ceremonies:
Morning: 07:25–08:40 Vijayadaśamī pūjā with Guru and Gaṇeśa pūjā, and Śiva abhiṣeka
Midday: 12:46–13:31 Abhijit homa (closing homa affirming the unity of Devi and Śiva)
Evening: 18:45–20:15 Vijayadaśamī yagya and visarjan (reverent sending-off of Devi)
