Navaratri Day 4 - Kūṣmāṇḍā

On the fourth day of Navaratri we dedicate ourselves to Goddess Kūṣmāṇḍā – She who creates the universe with her smile. Through the ceremonies we connect with her expanding energy – the power that brings light, vitality, and creative force everywhere.

Day 4 – Thu, Sept 25 Kūṣmāṇḍā

• Color: Yellow / Dark Blue

• Focus: Kūṣmāṇḍā embodies creativity and the primal life force. She is regarded as the creatrix of the universe, whose laughter gave birth to the light and energy of the sun. The day emphasizes blessings of vitality and health.

• Daily Mantra: Om Devyai Kūṣmāṇḍāyai Namaḥ

• Ceremonies:

  • Morning: 07:05–08:35 Kūṣmāṇḍā pūjā with Guru and Gaṇeśa pūjā, and Śiva abhiṣeka

  • Midday: 12:47–13:35 Abhijit homa (Mahāmṛtyuñjaya homa for securing health and vitality)

  • Evening: 19:05–20:35 Kūṣmāṇḍā yagya
