The seventh day of Navaratri is dedicated to Goddess Kālarātri, the fierce remover of ignorance and fear. Her presence cuts through illusion and dissolves inner darkness, guiding the seeker toward ultimate freedom and truth.
Day 7 – Sun, Sept 28 Kālarātrī
Color: Orange / Grey
Focus: Kālarātrī is the destroyer of obstacles and dissolver of inner shadows. She embodies the deepest power of Shakti, removing fears and bringing liberation. The day emphasizes overcoming inner shadows and fears, and creating strong protection.
Daily Mantra: Om Devyai Kālarātryai Namaḥ
Ceremonies:
Morning: 07:15–08:45 Kālarātrī pūjā with Guru and Gaṇeśa pūjā, and Śiva abhiṣeka
Midday: 12:46–13:33 Abhijit homa (powerful Shakti homa for dissolving inner shadows)
Evening: 19:00–20:30 Kālarātrī yagya
