About the event
Read more about Navaratri here.
On the ninth day of Navaratri, we invoke Goddess Siddhidātrī, the granter of siddhis – spiritual abilities and higher realization.
Day 9 – Tue, Sept 30 Siddhidātrī
Color: Pink / Peacock Green
Focus: Siddhidātrī is the giver of all siddhis (spiritual powers and attainments). In the Shakta tradition, Kanyā Pūjā (honoring young girls as embodiments of Devi) is performed on this day. In the Siddha–tantra lineage, this practice is understood symbolically: the pure primal Shakti within every person must be awakened and honored. The day emphasizes awakening inner powers and perceiving Devi’s presence within ourselves.
Daily Mantra: Om Devyai Siddhidātryai Namaḥ
Ceremonies:
Morning: 07:20–08:35 Siddhidātrī pūjā with Guru and Gaṇeśa pūjā, and Śiva abhiṣeka; Kanyā Pūjā (honoring young girls as Devi)
Midday: 12:46–13:32 Abhijit homa (for awakening inner powers, connection with Siddhidātrī’s energy)
